About ITR Productions

In The Rye Productions was founded by
Kate Cobb and Kevin Bigley to create
film, TV, and gutter poetry.
Meet the Team
Kevin and Kate met her first year of our acting conservatory at Depaul University in Chicago. They were drawn to each other as equally ambitious smart-asses who were the only two kids in our program working full-time to put themselves through college. So what started as a shit-talking friendship careened into a marriage and creative partnership that has lasted over a decade.
In The Rye Productions is a representation of the stories they want to tell; hometown lore with a gritty, magical edge. They want you to watch their work and see yourself and the people you know reflected back. They want to take you to an old cracked road in the middle of nowhere and leave you wondering what is out there… in the rye…

Kate Cobb
Kate Cobb hails from Chicago, where she graduated from DePaul University’s Theatre School Conservatory in 2010. After graduating Kate moved to Los Angeles where she enjoyed over a decade of acting work in film and television, including Shameless, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Castle, and recurred on the unreleased David Fincher series for HBO.
In 2014, she co-founded a production company, BigCob Productions with Kevin, and worked exclusively with Funny or Die to write, produce and act in numerous short-form sketch films, which eventually lead to a short series, Parked, which premiered on Amazon Prime.
While transitioning to directing, Kate attended UCLA’s Directing Extension program, after which she was awarded ‘Best Director’ at the UCLAxFilmFest for her short Dandelions. Having utilized the short as a proof of concept, she secured funding for the feature version which wrapped shooting in August of 2022 and is aiming for release in 2023.
